How to meet new people
Worried about the safety of meeting strangers in bars? Or about the
authenticity of strangers in dating sites? The best way to meet new people
really is through people you already know. Here's how:
1) A blind date fixed up by a friend. Even though the person you're going to
meet is unknown, at least you know have a common friend, and that's a safer bet
than a random blind date with no common factor.
2) Let the right people know you're single and open to being fixed up if they
the other person is nice. Certainly not aunts, but friends and co-workers might
put you on to someone you like.
3) Dating someone from work is tempting, more so because you meet each other
often during the day, but it can complicate working relationships, especially if
you have a break up. It can also cause trouble at the administrative level if
your company frowns on it. So be discreet, and don't announce anything till
things come to at least the engagement stage.
